The Lebanese Society for Health Informatics (LSHI) was established in June 2026 by a small group of healthcare professionals and researchers specialized in health informatics who recognized the need to promote and drive the field of health informatics in Lebanon. The society obtained official recognition by concerned authorities as not-for-profit association (registration number 704).

The LSHI mission is to promote the field of health informatics in Lebanon across the areas of education, research, clinical practice, and governance, and participate to leading healthcare digital transformation through fostering collaboration among healthcare, technology, and policy professionals — ultimately improving the quality, safety, and accessibility of care for all patients.
